Who We Are
Doug Friend, Operations VP, is the expertise behind Cleaner Image. He has been certified through the International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Association (IKECA) since 2012 giving him the training and knowledge of the kitchen exhaust hood cleaning industry. Through his twenty years in the business, he has gained vast experience and knowledge of the exhaust cleaning process and best cleaning methodology. With his in depth understanding of the NFPA96 firecodes and OSHA standards, this makes Doug your invaluable resource to keep your kitchen exhaust systems running up to optimal efficiency and creating a comfortable environment for both employees and guests. One of Doug’s passions is being involved in the kitchen design layout to help create an environment that is best suited for the restaurants function and the long-term maintenance plan.
Kristen Friend, President, handles everything on the administrative side of the business. In 2010, after splitting her time between an RN career, she committed to joining Doug full time and expanding on his already successful small family owned business.
With a passion for giving back to the community in which they live, Kristen started a 501(c)3 non-profit in 2011 called Wildpaks. Their mission is to provide weekly food packs to students at risk of going hungry over the weekend in their local school district.
What We Do
At Cleaner Image, we pair our specialty surfactant cleaners which are formulated in house and combine these with our advanced technology foaming system to deliver the best kitchen exhaust cleaning service around. These surfactant cleaners are developed to breakdown the tough cooking oils from fryer grease to solid fuel cooking grease. Our formula was developed twenty years ago and remains tried and true to this day.
